UBG Seminar: Pests and Microbes with Ryan Tockstein, Quality Manager of Uinta Brewing

Join us for the next UBG seminar with Ryan Tockstein, Quality Manager for Uinta Brewing. bio pic 1Topics covered will be on the most typical and a few not so typical brewery microbes. The discussion will cover their characteristics, detection methods, prevention, and risk to product. We will also discuss various media types, tips and tricks, and pitfalls to avoid.

We'll be at Red Rock Fashion Place from 4-6pm on Tues. Dec. 3. Bring some cans or bottles to share and make sure to register! This class is free for Utah Brewers Guild members. Non-UBG members can attend for a $10 fee at the door.

Ryan Tockstein is the Quality Manager of Uinta Brewing Company. He has a degree in physics and taught high school physics and chemistry prior to joining the brewing industry. Ryan started his brewing career in 2012 by co-founding a small brewery in the Midwest, moved to Utah to brew at Bohemian Brewery for two years, and finally landed at Uinta Brewing Company in late 2017. He enjoys hunting, fishing, running, and of course, beer!
